الملايويّون ميّالون إلى الروحانيّة، متسامحون، سهلو المراس. أمّا غير الملايويّين، ولا سيّما الصينيّون، فماديّون، عدوانيّون، ولديهم شهيّة للعمل. ولكي تتحقّق المساواة، لا بدّ لهذين العرقين المتباينين بشدّة أن يتكيّف أحدهما مع الآخر.
