الأخلاق كلّها تقوم على مشاعرنا؛ فإذا أرضانا فعلٌ أو خُلُقٌ في النفس على نحوٍ معيّن قلنا إنه فضيلة، وإذا أسخط إهمالُه أو التقصيرُ فيه على نحوٍ مشابه قلنا إننا ملزمون بأدائه.
