حتى أثناء الترويج للفيلم قلت للناس إنني لا أحب «ساعة الذروة». النكات التي لم أفهمها، والقتال، مقارنةً بأفلامي في هونغ كونغ، كانا رديئين. كثيرون لم يُعجبهم، لكنّ معظم الناس أحبّوه، أحبّوه حقاً. لقد قرّبتني «ساعة الذروة» حقاً من جمهور الأسرة الأمريكية.
