تعاني الصين اليوم من الفقر، لا من سوء توزيع الثروة. وحيث توجد فوارق في الثروة، يمكن بالطبع الاستعانة بأساليب ماركس، والدعوة إلى صراع طبقي يُقضى به على هذه الفوارق. أما في الصين، حيث لم تتطور الصناعة بعد، فإن صراع ماركس الطبقي وديكتاتورية البروليتاريا أمران غير قابلين للتطبيق.
