الاحتكارات، والأوligarchy والسعي إلى السيطرة لا إلى الحرية، واستغلال عدد متزايد من الأمم الصغيرة أو الضعيفة على يد حفنة من أغنى الأمم وأقواها، كل ذلك أنجب السمات المميزة للإمبريالية، التي تدفعنا إلى وصفها بأنها رأسمالية طفيلية متعفّنة.
