رغم أنني عشت أياماً كثيرة من الظلام، فقد رأيت من الدلائل ما يكفي لأوقن يقيناً لا يتزعزع بأنه لا توجد صعوبة ولا خوف عظيم إلى الحد الذي يستطيع أن يخنق تماماً الأمل الذي ينبع أبداً في قلوب الشباب... لا تدعوا ذلك الأمل يموت! راهنوا بحياتكم عليه! لسنا مجموع ضعفنا وإخفاقاتنا، بل نحن مجموع محبة الآب لنا وقدرتنا الحقيقية على أن نصير على صورة ابنه.
