كان هناك الاتحاد السوفيتي وحلف وارسو. وكانت هناك قوات سوفيتية في جمهورية ألمانيا الديمقراطية. وعلينا أن نعترف بصراحة بأنها كانت قوات احتلال، بقيت في ألمانيا بعد الحرب العالمية الثانية تحت ستار كونها قوات حليفة. أما اليوم فقد رحلت قوات الاحتلال هذه، وانهار الاتحاد السوفيتي، ولم يعد حلف وارسو موجودًا. ولا يوجد تهديد سوفيتي، لكن قوات الناتو والقوات الأمريكية ما زالت في أوروبا. فلأي غرض؟
