حين تصير الحاجات ووسائل إشباعها مجرّدةً في طبيعتها، يصبح التجريد أيضًا سمةً للعلاقة المتبادلة بين الأفراد. وهذه السمة المجرّدة، أي الكونية، هي صفة الاعتراف المتبادل، وهي اللحظة التي تجعل الحاجات المعزولة المجرّدة، وطرق إشباعها ووسائله، ملموسةً أي اجتماعية.
