طوال تلك السنوات من التجريب والبحث لم أكتشف شيئًا قطّ. كان عملي كله استنباطيًّا، وما حققته كان اختراعًا محضًا وبسيطًا. كنت أبني نظرية وأعمل على أساسها حتى أجد أنها غير قابلة للدفاع عنها، فأطرحها على الفور وأبتكر نظرية أخرى. لم يكن أمامي سبيل آخر لحلّ المسألة.
