ما إن يذوق الإنسان طعم الحرية حتى لا يرضى أبداً أن يكون عبداً. ولذلك أؤمن بأن هذه الفظاعة التي نراها في كل مكان اليوم ليست إلا أمراً مؤقتاً. فالغد سيكون أفضل، ما دامت أمريكا تُبقي حيّةً مُثُلَ الحرية والحياة الأفضل. سيرغب الناس جميعاً في أن يكونوا أحراراً، وأن يتقاسموا طريقة حياتنا. وثمة الكثير مما كان ينبغي أن أقوله ولم أقله. أما ما سأقوله الآن فهو ما يفكر فيه معظمنا على الأرجح كل يوم: أشكر الله وأمريكا على حقّ العيش وتربية أسرتي تحت راية التسامح والديمقراطية والحرية.
